Green and rich in flavor. ‘Hakone Edamame’

If I were to describe the characteristics of Hakone edamame in one word, it would be ‘rich in flavor.’

It is easy to eat with little bitterness or astringency,

and it is a premium edamame characterized by its rich sweetness and umami, as well as a fluffy texture.

The balance of moderate acidity and lingering sweetness in the mouth is good, and it is appreciated for its umami, large size of the beans, and crisp texture.

Since 2024, we have been participating in the National Edamame Championship organized by the Japan Vegetable Sommelier Association.

Our taste and appearance were highly evaluated, winning a prize in 2024 and the bronze award in 2025, receiving recognition for two consecutive years.

Thanks to the efforts of producers, the quality continues to improve even now.

“Hakone Edamame” is cultivated by selecting varieties during the season.

There is a unique flavor that comes precisely because they are carefully grown and shipped while dealing with weather and temperature changes.

Moreover, the best ones are selected according to the season.

Strict standards are set, such as ‘having two or more beans per pod,’ and by carefully adjusting shipments, they are highly valued in the market, and production continues to grow.

These are edamame snacks full of excitement that overturn the traditional image of edamame.

Edamame is an agricultural product with a very short optimal harvest period.

We make sure to harvest at the right time so that the flavor does not deteriorate.

When you see it in supermarkets and the like, please be sure to pick it up and try it.
